Currently pursuing my Ph.D in Sociology at the University of Chicago, I am co-authoring a book on the experiences of Liberal Arts college students with Hamilton College's Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Sociology Daniel F. Chambliss, for publication in 2010. I have presented papers, taught, and consulted on topics related to higher education ethnography and institutional research in a variety of capacities since joining the Mellon Foundation Assessment Project in 2003. I have worked at the American Journal of Sociology on the book review board since 2008, and before that, I worked at the Social Science Research Council web development team as a content management consultant. My Academic interests include network analysis, symbolic interaction, historical sociology, and sociological theory.
