Tayo Olorunlana, PhD
Dr Olorunlana’s research interests are primarily in the areas of sociology of health and medical sociology with an emphasis on public health elucidating human behaviour, culture and social determinant of health engineered by complex external multiple factors. His particle research has involved around the persistent transmission of Schistosomiasis in Southwest Nigeria; basics of research designs; and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. His sociological research embraced the analysis of sociology and other social sciences; culture, suicide-terrorism and security in Nigeria. Other works include European Migrant Crisis; Maternal Health; Lymphatic Filariasis in Rural Communities; Managing Breast Cancer; HIV diagnosis and construction of masculinity; and Substance Abuse. Dr Olorunlana is currently the Dean, Student Affairs Caleb University, Lagos Nigeria. He served in different capacities on several grants funded by DFID and SuNMaP. He is a Lead Editor of a book, with numbers of book chapters and scores of articles in leading journals and conference proceedings in the public health and social science fields.
