I am in the process of writing Phd research dissertation and I am really wondering of how to structure it effectively and what are the expected specifications and minimum requirement of a standard Phd thesis?
Pls help me out and share what you might have experienced

depends on the field, school and so on. check with your supervisor, there are plenty of books about dissertations as well. Anyway, i struggled myself with the structure until i read a wonderful advice from a wonderful professor of philosophy (old school). his ideas were: a disseration is basically an argument related to a thesis. chapter are parts of the argument. if you cannot explain in a single sentence what is your argument (thesis) then you are not ready to write the dissertation. and so on, could look for his message in my backfolders.
