The NYU Annual Survey of American Law is accepting submissions for publication in our spring issue, Volume 78.2. We are seeking articles on contemporary legal developments in the United States from a practice-oriented perspective. As a generalist journal, we welcome submissions from all practice areas and scholarly perspectives that explore the emerging trends and ideas that are shaping American law today. Annual Survey has recently featured articles on immigration law, data privacy, evidence, racial justice, First Amendment law, civil procedure, and the progressive prosecution movement.

Founded in 1942, the NYU Annual Survey of American Law originally served as an annual compendium compiled by NYU law professors that summarized developments across the American legal landscape. Now a quarterly journal and NYU’s second-oldest student-run publication, Annual Survey continues its original mission by publishing scholarly work that reflects on contemporary American law and legal issues from a practice-oriented perspective.

General submissions may be made through Scholastica or directly via email at law.annualsurvey@nyu.edu. All submissions materials should also include a brief cover letter and a curriculum vitae.
