Trevor Morrison has a long history of public service. He has worked as a law clerk, in the Office of the Solicitor General, the Office of Legal Counsel, and as a law school professor teaching issues related to constitutional law and federal courts. Most recently he was Dean of NYU School of Law for nine years.

In recognition of Trevor Morrison’s career as a public servant, we will publish a dedication issue that explores topics broadly related to public service, constitutional law, and federal courts. We are seeking papers and proposals that engage with these topics. Papers selected will be published along with remarks from Judge Alison Nathan, Judge Toby Heytens, and Professor Rachel Barkow.

About the Journal

Founded in 1942, the New York University Annual Survey of American Law is a student-edited journal at New York University School of Law. Annual Survey is NYU’s second-oldest law journal and was originally compiled by NYU faculty members as a comprehensive annual reference guide to developments in American law. Now a quarterly publication, Annual Survey continues its original mission by exploring contemporary legal developments in the United States from a practice-oriented perspective. Annual Survey articles analyze emerging legal trends, interpret significant court decisions and legislation, and engage with the latest in contemporary perspectives on legal topics. The journal is widely distributed throughout the world, giving lawyers both inside and outside the United States insight into American law and emerging legal issues.
