The Michigan Journal of Gender and Law is still actively looking for pieces for its next issue (Winter 2022).

The central mission of the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law is to create a feminist legal publication that will help expand and develop legal discourse beyond traditional boundaries. The Journal, which was founded in 1992, is dedicated to providing a forum for exploring how gender issues (and related issues of race, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, and culture) impact law and society. The Journal seeks to compare, contrast, and combine theoretical and practical perspectives on gender issues in order to provide a bridge between theory and practice.

New to this issue, we are offering authors the option to include a cover letter of 250 or fewer words with their submission. If inclined, authors can use this space to highlight the ways their scholarship and perspective would further MJGL's commitment to inclusion and representation in legal scholarship. Authors with submissions pending are welcome to send us a cover letter (or new cover letter) by May 13. We really, really appreciate authors who take the time to submit their scholarship to our journal. We want to reciprocate your effort by giving each piece the consideration it deserves.

The deadline for submissions is May 10, 2021. Articles may be submitted via Scholastica or by email at mjgl-submissions@umich.edu
