Dear Authors/Scholars, The Indiana International and Comparative Law Review (IICLR) cordially invites you to submit an article manuscript or a proposal memorandum for publication consideration in IICLR’s Volume XXXIII Symposium. IICLR’s 2022-23 symposium topic is Where We Are Now and Where We Need to Go: The Status of Gender Equality Since the Creation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

We are seeking publication proposals from a diverse background of law experts who will contribute to legal scholarship concerning issues of gender equality and women’s rights. All publications must incorporate either an international or comparative gender law perspective.

Additionally, authors who are chosen for Symposium publication will be under consideration to serve as panelists on one of the three live Symposium panels in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 10th, 2023. If you are interested in consideration as a Symposium panelist, please indicate your interest when submitting your manuscript or proposal memorandum. Please note that notices of selection or rejection will be provided to authors on a rolling basis.

Symposium Publication Submission Requirements:

Article manuscripts and proposal memoranda should comply with the 21st Edition of the Bluebook, and be formatted in Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced with 1-inch margins on all sides.

Article manuscripts must be fully fleshed out with all arguments developed and supported; no page limit will be set. Proposal memoranda must give the editors a well-presented idea of the proposed article and must show at least 10-15 relevant sources that support the submission. Proposal memoranda must be no less than 8-10 pages long. Please note that the editors will accept or reject proposal memoranda until July 25th, 2022, any submissions after that date and until August 31st, 2022, must be full article manuscripts to be considered (including the full manuscript version of a previously accepted proposal memorandum).

Please submit your proposal memorandum to IICLR’s Executive Symposium Publication Editor, Gabriela Ocampo Serrano, via email at gaocampo@iu.edu by July 25th, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EST, or your article manuscript by August 31st, 2022, by 5:00 p.m. EST.
