From Buddhist and Islamic traditions of giving to the rise of corporate and digital philanthropy, Asian societies display a remarkable diversity in how charity is understood, organized, and practiced.
This thematic focus invites contributions that examine how charity functions as a vehicle for social cohesion, public service delivery, civil society engagement, and state–society relations across various national and subnational contexts in Asia.
