The UCLA Journal of International Law & Foreign Affairs is soliciting a student comment for its Volume 27.1, to be published in Fall/Winter 2022. The publication will  be comprised of articles arising from JILFA and the UCLA Promise Institute for Human Rights’s February 2022 Symposium on Borders, the Pandemic, and Human Rights. Discourse at the Symposium will focus on the roles of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability status as rights allocators across national boundaries, especially within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are seeking student comments which address the role of identity within international law.

We welcome student Comments from universities across the globe.  Submissions are typically 25-35 pages in length. Abstracts are due by October 31, 2021 at 5pm Pacific Time. Please send abstracts to both JILFASymposium@lawnet.ucla.edu and jilfa@lawnet.ucla.eduIf your abstract is accepted, full-length submissions will be due January 15, 2022 by 5pm Pacific Time. Please reach out with any questions to JILFASymposium@lawnet.ucla.edu.
