Global Security and Intelligence Studies (GSIS) is currently accepting submissions for its upcoming special edition on Strategic Deterrence (anticipated Summer 2023). The state of global power and politics have changed dramatically over the past few decades. Shifts in power projection capabilities and doctrine combined with revisionist regional powers, failing states, and global resource competition has shed new emphasis on the concept of deterrence amongst great powers.

The defining factors of Strategic Deterrence are vast and can include a number of variables such as nuclear, cyber, Economic, proxy warfare, evolution of tactics and doctrine, non-state actors, etc. GSIS welcomes original empirical research, critical analysis research, research notes, action notes from the field, policy relevant essays, and book reviews for the special issue. Book reviews should focus on the title’s contribution to, or discussion of Strategic Deterrence.

Instructions for authors and submission procedures can be on the Journal’s homepage: https://gsis.scholasticahq.com/for-authors

Please make all submissions by: 01 January 2023

Submissions and inquiries can be made via the GSIS submission page, above, or by emailing the editorial team directly: Dr. Carter Matherly (Carter.Matherly@gmail.com) and Dr. Matthew Loux (matthew.loux67@mycampus.apus.edu).
