The Journal of Law and Public Affairs (JLPA) is accepting articles for its second volume!

Volume 2 is centered on the theme of "Achieving Equality and the Role of the Government” and is slated to be published online during the academic year of 2016-2017 in Fall and Spring issues.

JLPA welcomes articles and commentaries on issues affecting equality and policy. We will accept and review articles up to 30,000 words. However, in the spirit of recent contemporary journal reforms, we encourage shorter pieces and welcome submissions as short as 3,000 words. Footnotes should conform to the standards set forth by the 20th edition of the Bluebook. If you have any questions or wish to submit an article outside these parameters, please contact us at PennJLPA.Articles@gmail.com.

JLPA is an independent journal, produced by students at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, that aims to publish thought-provoking articles on contemporary federal, state, and local policies. The Journal is non-partisan and is designed to serve as a research tool for policymakers, practitioners, judges, students, and all interested readers.

JLPA's Volume I included articles from:
  • Former Senator Saxby Chambliss
  • Harvard Professor Stephen Goldsmith
  • American Lawyer and Writer Philip K. Howard
  • European Scholar and Professor Dr. Anne Meuwese
