The Akron Law Review is seeking articles and essays of any length, speakers and/or panel participants for its annual Symposium. The 2024 Symposium, titled “AI Co-Counsel: An Attorney’s Guide to Using Artificial Intelligence in the Practice of Law,” will take place at The University of Akron School of Law in the evening of Wednesday, April 17, 2024. 

 

The editors seek articles, essays, and speakers that address one or more of the following topics, or other related topics: 

  1. An Attorney’s Practice Guide to Using Artificial Intelligence 

  1. Ethical Considerations in the Use of Artificial Intelligence 

 

The Akron Law Review has been highly ranked in the Washington and Lee Law Review Rankings for several years. In five recent years (2015-2019), the Akron Law Review has ranked in the top 100 for student-edited, general journals ranking for “combined score” and in the top 107 for student-edited, general journals in the category of “impact factor.” 

 

The Call for Papers will remain open until Friday, January 26, 2024. Article proposals should be around 300 words and should include a CV/resume. Submit proposals to the Editor-In-Chief, Roger Boyer, and Managing Editor of the Symposium Edition, Tyler Speer, at akronlawreview@uakron.edu. 

 

Selected participants and writers will be notified via email by Monday, February 5, 2024. Our editors will work with you to prepare your work for the Symposium and/or publication in our 2024 Symposium edition of the Akron Law Review.
